LEARNING TO TRUST God’s resolution for us: That we grow in relationship with Him. 5 steps to growing in relationship with God: Message based on Psalm 13
o TALK WITH HIM
* We can’t have a soul encounter with God and come away unchanged.
* Prayer is not talking TO God, it’s talking WITH Him.
o RISK BEING VULNERABLE
* The most crucial component in our relationship with God is honesty.
* David doesn’t stay stuck on how he feels about the situation, he moves on from what he feels to what he believes.
o UNDERSTAND WHO HE IS
* How we perceive God will either enhance or inhibit our ability to trust Him.
o SUBMIT TO HIS WILL
* Surrender to God is not about giving up, it’s about giving over.
*While we know what we WANT, God knows what we NEED.
o THANK HIM FOR HIS LOVE
* A thankful heart finds it easier to trust.
